だれもが思い描くゴミ箱の形に蓋をして、二つの穴を開けました。
その一見なんでもないかたちは、ゴミ箱の中をさりげなく隠してくれるだけでなく
これまで存在しなかったところに、ひとつのスペースを生み出しました。
ベッドサイドで時計を置いたり、デスクの片隅でゴミになる前のものを置いたり。
そんな些細なことが、いつもの生活に心地良さをもたらしてくれることを願って。
Here is a novel treatment of a familiar object. In this design,
I have put a lid on
an object shaped like a wastebasket and cut two rectangular holes in it.
The seemingly ordinary shape not only subtly hides the contents of the basket,
but also creates space. You can place a bedside clock on it or put stuff in it before
it ends up in the trash on the corner of the desk.
I have designed this in the hope that a small, trifling object like this will bring comfort to daily life.
